After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Amboseli National Park. We will pass through the typical African savannah dotted with local farms and colorful Masai herders with their cattle. We will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon, we will set off again for our first photographic safari in Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants.
The Amboseli National Park ecosystem covers more than 3,000 km2 in southern Kenya. There is no other place in Africa where you can find the curious combination of Amboseli’s topography, geological history, hydrology, and culture. Despite its moderate rainfall, it has a system of marshes and groundwater fed by Mount Kilimanjaro, which sustains the life of a spectacular variety of birds and mammals. Amboseli is one of Kenya’s most popular destinations and is home to the country’s largest population of elephants, as well as buffalo, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and hippos.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
