Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Breakfast at the lodge.

Morning free to rest or engage in an optional activity (rooms must be vacated before 10:00 a.m.).

Lunch on your own and early afternoon departure to Tarangire National Park, known for its elephant herds.

Tarangire National Park is an impressive national park made up of granite ridges, river valleys, and a rich fauna. During the annual dry season, the Tarangire River attracts thirsty wildlife. Large herds of elephants and migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, and gazelles gather, and it’s no surprise that predators closely follow them. Tarangire is also the only place in Tanzania where ground antelopes such as the oryx and gerenuk are regularly seen. This vast area is also known for its spectacular baobab trees, its impressive views of the Maasai steppe, and the stunning mountains to the south.

Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.
