TRAVEL TO UGANDA
The Pearl of Africa, one of the best-kept secrets
Uganda offers movie-like settings starring the lush majesty of its landscapes.
The country stands out for being home to about 400 mountain gorillas, more than half of all specimens of this species in the world! The Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi is, in fact, one of the few places where it is possible to come face to face with a family of mountain gorillas, an exclusive experience as unique as it is unforgettable.
In addition to mountain gorillas, if you are traveling to Uganda, you can also observe chimpanzees up close in Kibale or Kyambura. Similarly, you will have the opportunity to go on safaris in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you can see the tree-climbing lions, characteristic of this area. We also recommend embarking on a cruise on the Kazinga Channel, to observe hippopotamuses and other wild animals.
Traveling to Uganda means living a true African adventure. Where stunning nature will be the backdrop for unforgettable experiences.

Uganda, gorillas in Bwindi forest
See Gorillas in Uganda
If you are traveling to Uganda, don’t miss visiting the Bwindi forest: a tropical forest located in the southwest of the country, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its great biodiversity and for hosting half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world. These primates are a critically endangered species that can only survive in their natural habitat.
The gorillas of Bwindi live in families led by a dominant male called silverback. Each family has a territory that it defends from other families and traverses in search of food. They feed mainly on leaves, stems, fruits, and roots.
To see the gorillas in Bwindi, you have to go on a guided trek by expert trackers who know where the families accustomed to human presence are. It can last from an hour to several hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and the terrain conditions. But when you reach the place where the gorillas are, you will enjoy a magical hour observing their behavior and intelligent gaze. It is an exclusive, intimate, and exciting experience, as the gorillas are only a few meters away and can be seen in their natural habitat, without artificial barriers.
